Coliseum Health System Volunteer Program Awards Scholarships to Local Students

The volunteer program at Coliseum Health System recently awarded a total of $11,000 in academic scholarships to local students. Eleven individual scholarships worth $1,000 were presented to graduating high school seniors and post-secondary students pursuing careers in healthcare. Volunteers from Coliseum Medical Centers and Coliseum Northside Hospital raise scholarship funds and select qualified, exceptional student recipients each year.
 
The recipients of the 2019 scholarships are:

•       Mariam Atobiloye is a current student at Middle Georgia State University and plans to pursue a career in nursing.

•       JaNiya Juanita Gibson is a senior at Mount de Sales Academy and plans to attend Fisk University; she is pursuing a career in pediatric oncology.

•       Mary Ryan Henneberry is a senior at Howard High School and plans to attend Georgia College & State University; she is pursuing a career in psychology.

•       Nicole Hill is a senior at Central High School and plans to attend Kennesaw State University; she plans to pursue a career as a nurse practitioner.

•       Harrison Elsbeth Martin is a senior at First Presbyterian Day School; she is pursuing a career in nursing.

•       Daizha Outlaw is senior at Mary Persons High School; she is pursuing a career as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

•       Raegan Alice Pool is a senior at John Milledge Academy and plans to attend the University of Georgia; she is pursuing a career in genetics.

•       Megan Alain Sanders is a senior at Trinity Christian School and plans to attend the University of Georgia; she is pursuing a career in nursing.

•       Jenna Grace Thiel is senior at John Milledge Academy and plans to attend the University of Georgia; she is pursuing a career in speech therapy.

•       Emerald White is a senior at Central High School and plans to attend The Georgia Institute of Technology; she is pursuing a career in biomedical engineering.

•       Mary-Alaysha Woodford is a senior at Northeast High School; she is pursuing a career related to pre-med biology.
