Spillers Orthodontics is proud to announce the recipients of the 2019 Spillers Orthodontics Scholarship. High school seniors McKinley Cranford and Makiyah Dee, both former patients, were selected from numerous applicants. Each will receive $1,000 to be applied toward tuition, books, fees, or any other related expenses for their first year of college.

“What great, well-rounded students these two are!” says Dr. Don Spillers. “I am pleased that the future of our community will benefit from the leadership of people like McKinley and Makiyah. They will make a positive impact wherever they go, and we’re excited to help them get there.”

Selected by an impartial board, Cranford and Dee were chosen based on their achievement, leadership and service throughout their high school years. They also received excellent recommendations.

A  Cochran resident and Bleckley County High School graduate, Cranford will attend the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega. Dee, a resident of Warner Robins and graduate of Warner Robins High School, will attend Georgia Tech in Atlanta.

This is the sixth year Spillers Orthodontics has offered scholarships to high school graduates who are either current or former patients. Applications for the 2020 scholarship are due March 1, 2020.
