Macon-Bibb County will celebrate the newest section of bike trails at Arrowhead Park (2800 Arrowhead Drive) with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Wednesday, April 24, at 10:00 a.m.

“Lake Tobo has so much to offer our entire community and region, and this is something our biking community has long looked forward to,” says District 6 Commissioner Joe Allen. “This area is such a gem for our community, and I know this will bring new people here to check out what we have to offer.”

The section is about a mile-long of flow trail, which provides people with a path that includes hills, bumps, and sharp turns., and it was designed and built by Flowmotion Trail Builders. With its addition, there are approximately 12-13 miles of bikeable trails in Arrowhead Park. The new section was funded with $80,000 from the voter-approved Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST).
