James-Bates-Brannan-Groover-LLP, a full-service law Firm with offices in Macon and Atlanta, announces the addition of attorney Christopher Gordon to the Firm’s General Litigation practice group.

Christopher “Chris” Gordon has experience in several thousand criminal cases; hundreds of contested motion hearings; bench trials; sentencing hearings and other hotly contested issues. He has extensive jury trial experience in major cases such as murder, rape, drug trafficking, racketeering, embezzlement and fraud related cases. Chris has also represented the State before the appellate courts of Georgia, served as lead trial counsel in complex death penalty litigation and many other functions of the Georgia Courts. In addition to criminal experience, Chris has significant civil experience in asset forfeiture and nuisance actions. Chris’ extensive trial experience and prosecution record brings a unique perspective to the Firm. Prior to joining James-Bates-Brannan-Groover-LLP, Chris was an Assistant District Attorney with the Oconee Judicial Circuit. He earned his Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School in 2012 and his B.A. in Political Science from Valdosta State University in 2009.
