Benjamin F. Parrish, Jr. serves as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Tractor Supply Company, a position he has held since February 2016, having previously served as Senior Vice President - General Counsel and Corporate Secretary since October 2010. Prior to joining Tractor Supply Company, Mr. Parrish served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of MV Transportation, Inc., a transportation services company, from 2008 -.2010. He served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Central Parking Corporation, a parking services company, from 1998 to 2008 and as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Smith and Nephew, a medical device corporation based in Memphis, Tennessee from 1992 to 1998.

Originally, from Jackson, Georgia, Ben graduated from Mercer University’s College of Liberal Arts with a degree in political science in 1978. Following graduation, he worked for U.S. Senator Herman Talmadge in Washington, D.C. then returned to Macon where he received his J.D. degree from the Mercer Law School in 1982. He worked in the securities division at King & Spalding in Atlanta following law school. Ben currently serves on the Board of Visitors of the Mercer Law School.

Ben leads Tractor Supply’s sustainability initiative which has received numerous awards for its innovative approach to environmental impact. Tractor Supply calls its sustainability program "Stewardship" because they believe everyone should be good stewards of the land and natural resources so that future generations will have the same opportunities all of us enjoy today. The company views their Stewardship Program as a process of continuous improvement as they look for ways to become more efficient, eliminate waste, and reduce their impact on the environment.
