Rev. Al Sharpton to Deliver Keynote Address in Macon at the NAN Southeastern Conference

The National Action Network is hosting a series of regional conferences nationwide to address critical social issues impacting the African-American community as well as the 2018 Midterms, the importance of voting and voter education. These regional conferences are agenda-setting opportunities for the upcoming National Action Network’s Annual Legislative & Policy Conference to be held in Washington DC November 13-14, 2018 under the theme: “From Demonstration to Legislation”. The southeastern conference will be held Thursday, October 25, 2018 to Saturday, October 27, 2018. The Host Chapter is the Middle Georgia Chapter of NAN located in Macon-Bibb County GA and the Host Church is New Life International Ministries (1985 Vineville Avenue Macon GA 31201) where the Senior Pastor is Overseer Eric Bell.
The following signature events will take place:
Plenary Session: Thursday, October 25, 2018 10:00am Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. will deliver the opening address at the Host Church location, New Life International Ministries 1985 Vineville Avenue Macon GA 31201
Press Conference with Rev. Al Sharpton: Thursday, October 25, 2018 11:30am New Life International Ministries
Keynote Address: Thursday, October 25, 2018 12:00pm Rev. Al Sharpton, NAN National President & Founder will deliver the keynote address at New Life International Ministries.
Workshops will be held on Thursday and Friday beginning at 10am daily on the following topics:
Legalization of Marijuana/Cannabis legislation, School-To-Prison Pipeline, Child Protection Services, Gun Control & Reducing Gun Violence, Economic Development/Eradicating Poverty and Black Male Outreach.
Hour of Power Worship Service: Thursday, October 25, 2018 7:00pm
“When Men Worship” featuring Bishop J. D. Means, Antwain Jordan, & Dee and the New Generation: Friday, October 26, 2018 6:30pm
Youth Huddle & Outreach Day: Saturday, October 27, 2018 10:00am Macon-Bibb County Government Center
Other distinguished guests and subject matter experts from across the southeast will be the workshop presenters. The conference is free but the Ministers & Faith Leaders Luncheon is a ticketed event of $35.00 per person. An “Hour of Power” worship service (Thursday, October 27th7pm) as well as “When Men Worship” Gospel concert (Friday, October 28th7pm) will be held at the Host Church, are open and free to the public. Saturday is Youth Huddle Day with events for youth, teens, and young adults beginning at 10:00am.
