On Friday, October 19th, 2018, the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce recognized The Swanson as the October Business of the Month. They were nominated and chosen by the Business Development Committee of the Chamber.

The Swanson restaurant was purchased and opened in 2002 by Mike and Kim Sheridan. Located in the historical Cox-Swanson home in Perry, GA, visitors to The Swanson are immersed in over 200 years of local history. Popular southern dishes are served alongside the casual antebellum setting to create a setting that keeps patrons coming back for more. The Swanson serves lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday, and lunch only on Sunday. The restaurant also offers catering and event services.
