James-Bates-Brannan-Groover-LLP, a full-service law firm with offices in Macon and Atlanta, announces the addition of attorney Richard “Rick” A. Epps, Jr., formerly with Martin Snow LLP, to the firm’s financial institution and real estate practice group.

Rick focuses his practice on all areas of commercial real estate law, including acquisitions and loan closings, contract negotiation, lender representation, title examination, title insurance and drafting of closing documents.

Prior to joining James-Bates-Brannan-Groover-LLP, Rick was a partner in the litigation practice group at Martin Snow, LLP where he worked for 19 years focusing primarily on the defense of medical malpractice actions. Rick earned his Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1999, and his Bachelor of Art in Accounting from the University of Georgia in 1996.
