Monday, July 16th, 2018

Forest Hills United Methodist Church hosts River of Life in Macon, GA, each year with Rebuilding Macon. This is River of Life’s fifteenth year partnering with Rebuilding Macon to repair homes, preventing blight and helping to keep Macon citizens safe, warm, and dry.

“It takes the work of volunteer teams like River of Life to make a significant impact in Macon. We’re happy they keep coming back.” – Debra Rollins, Executive Director

This year, River of Life will bring in over 100 volunteers to tackle twenty-five homes in Macon-Bibb County. Projects will range from painting houses and building wheelchair ramps to replacing a roof. They will be working from Thursday, July 12, to Saturday, July 14.

Rebuilding Macon, in partnership with the community, repairs the homes of low-income homeowners, particularly the elderly and disabled, so that they may continue to live in warmth, safety, and independence.
