Diabetes Update for Healthcare Providers
Diabetes Update is an educational program intended for nurses, dietitians and pharmacists involved in providing education and support to patients with diabetes. Topics will include: What your eyes can tell you about diabetes; Helping patients cope with diabetes when they are depressed; Diabetes overview; Sugar, the alternative and everything in between; Diabetes wound prevention, care and treatment. This program is approved for a total of 5.25 continuing education hours by Houston Healthcare, an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Alabama State Nurses Association. This Program is sponsored by Houston Healthcare and Magnolia Coastlands Area Health Education Center. No cost to attend. Educational materials and lunch will be provided. A Night with The Grapevine
