Mercer Innovation Center is seeking its third class of Mercer Innovation Fellows, entrepreneurs who will have the opportunity to launch their businesses with full support from MIC. Applications for this year’s fellowships are due April 20.

The competitive fellows program is open to anyone, 18 and older, from across the world, including current Mercer students.

Up to five fellowships will be awarded each year, with fellows receiving a prize package including up to $20,000 in startup funds, parking convenient to the Macon campus, office space, full access to University facilities, interns provided by Mercer, coaching from experienced business professionals and faculty, access to workshops, a speaker series and an entrepreneurial community, and opportunities to pitch investors across Georgia.

An application, available at mic.mercer.edu/fellows-program, along with a PowerPoint presentation of seven to 10 slides, must be submitted online by April 20. The presentation should include the following information:

What problem are you solving?

What is the solution and how does it differ from what is currently available?

What is the potential market for the product or service?

Who are your current or prospective competitors?

How will you (the company) make money?

How much will it cost to launch?

Who is the management/team? What are your qualifications?

Finalists will be notified by May 11 to set up a video or in-person interview. Winners will be notified by June 30 and should plan to begin their one-year fellowship in Macon by Sept. 1.
