On Thursday, February 15, the Perry Chamber of Commerce announced its February Business of the Month, Georgia Bob's Bar-B-Q, located at 107 Perimeter Road in Perry.  Cathy Speight, Business Development Committee Chair, presented the award to Franchisee J. J. Kirk.

Georgia Bob's began at the historic Peach Festivals of the 1920s.  Thanks to the dedication and talents of Robert Cherry Evans (Georgia Bob’s grandfather) and others, barbecue became the key celebration at the festivals. They take pride in serving Georgia Bob’s delicious barbecue, introduced at the festivals, to their customers today.

Georgia Bob's still serves barbecue in that true southern tradition, just as it has been done in the South for over 150 years.  Their authenticity is further displayed with made-from-scratch gourmet chicken salad, side items, and delicious desserts.  All recipes evolved from a family heritage and the agriculture of the South.
