Mercer University’s Eugene W. Stetson School of Business and Economics is featured in U.S. News and World Report’s Best Online Programs Rankings.
The School’s Online Master of Business Administration program is tied for 61st among the 282 institutions included in that particular ranking, alongside Drexel University, Quinnipiac University, Rutgers University, the University of Cincinnati, the University of Kansas and Villanova University.
“We are thrilled with this acknowledgement and to be tied with these prestigious schools,” said Dr. Susan P. Gilbert, dean of the Stetson School of Business and Economics. “Mercer’s Online MBA is only in its second full year and will continue to rise in reputation and student satisfaction.”
For its 2018 edition, U.S. News ranked online MBA programs using five categories: student engagement, admissions selectivity, peer reputation, faculty credentials and training, and student services and technology.
In its seventh year of collecting data from online degree programs, U.S. News assessed 1,490 programs that offer 100 percent online classes needed to complete the degree.
Additional rankings include online bachelor’s programs, non-MBA graduate business programs, graduate computer information technology programs, graduate criminal justice programs, graduate education programs, graduate engineering programs and graduate nursing programs.
Mercer’s Online MBA offers a rich academic experience that employs interactive technology to facilitate a dynamic learning environment. The program is tailored to meet the needs of busy working professionals already employed in the business sector who wish to further develop management and leadership skills. Students are able to stay connected with their academic network through online and in-person access to faculty and campus resources.
Classes are moderated by the same highly credentialed faculty as in-class MBA programs, and the program’s flexible, self-paced format allows students to work and study around their busy schedules.
Students who progress through the program at the recommended pace can earn an MBA in as few as 18 months. Students also have the option to attend some classes in a traditional classroom setting.
