The West Central Georgia district of the Georgia Department of Transportation is holding a job fair Friday, January 26 in Warner Robbins to hire entry level maintenance personnel.

Walk-in interviews will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 96 Cohen Walker Drive, Warner Robbins, GA 31088. 

The Department is looking for eager and dedicated employees to help maintain multiple interstates and the many other state routes in the 31-county west-central district. The district office is in Thomaston and 5 area offices are located in the counties of Upson, Muscogee, Houston, Bibb and Troup. 

Qualified applicants will fill currently vacant positions in Houston and Dooly counties.

Basic applicant requirements are:

  • minimum age 18

  • have a high school diploma or a GED

  • possess a valid Class C driver’s license

  • must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check

New hires will receive on-the-job training in various maintenance duties. Benefits offered by the Department include health insurance and paid Commercial Driver’s License training and testing. New hires must obtain a Georgia CDL within six months of employment. These positions also offer great opportunities for advancement within the Department.
