GDOL to Co-sponsor a Middle Georgia Recruiting Event in Milledgeville January 30th

The Georgia Department of Labor and several other local organizations will co-sponsor a middle Georgia recruiting event on Jan. 30 in Milledgeville.

Job seekers will be interviewed for positions in manufacturing and other industries and assessed for potential eligibility to participate in job training programs.  

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Health Sciences Building at Central Georgia Technical College located at 54 Georgia Highway 22 West.

Other event sponsors include the workforce division of the Georgia Department of Economic Development, WorkSource Middle Georgia and WorkSource Macon-Bibb.

Companies registered to attend this event are recruiting for a wide variety of jobs, including machine operator, press operator, boxers, packers, extruder machine operator, maintenance, quality control technician, shift supervisor and others.

The GDOL staff and other co-sponsors will discuss job training programs, including on-the-job training with the job seekers. Also, the GDOL will provide employment-related services to job seekers who attend the event and request assistance.  

Due to the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations, all manufacturing workers must be at least 18 years old.
