Ameris Bank President Lawton E. Bassett, III announces the promotion of Michael Lee, Kendall Spencer and Richard Sturm to regional presidents. They will each be responsible for oversight of all core banking activities within their respective market areas.

• Michael Lee is the new regional president responsible for the market areas of Valdosta, Tifton, Ocilla, Douglas, Waycross, Vidalia, Dublin, Central Georgia, Albany and Cordele.

• Kendall Spencer is the new regional president responsible for the market areas of Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Palm Coast, Palatka, Gainesville/Ocala, and Lake City.

• Richard Sturm is a current regional president for the South Carolina and the greater Savannah area, and expanded responsibilities include Coastal Georgia markets, including Brunswick and St. Mary’s, as well as being responsible for Treasury & Cash Management Services. Additionally, the company’s Treasury Services group also reports to Sturm.
