Central Georgia Heart Center and Central Georgia Vein Center, Macon-based Cardiology, Electrophysiology and Vein Centers, are pleased to announce the appointment of John Evans as CEO.

Evans joined the organization as CEO in late March. Evans came to Central Georgia Heart Center from Evans Healthcare, LLC, a healthcare consulting firm where he served as CEO. Evans Healthcare focuses on working with physicians, private practices, and hospitals to streamline efficiency and prioritize patient care. Past clients include Christie Clinics, Senior Psych Care and Health Sync. Evans has also previously held CEO and management positions at Orthopedic Associates of West Florida, Pulmonary Associates of Brandon, and the John-Kenyon Eye Center. His numerous accomplishments include negotiating cooperative support agreements between hospitals, implementation of patient-focused management systems, and leading the creation of a statewide 125-provider network.  Evans holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Illinois.

At Central Georgia Heart Center and Central Georgia Vein Center, Mr. Evans will work with physician partners to lead strategic planning, administration, team development, finance, and project management. His expertise in leadership and healthcare will help provide a clear vision for growth and the implementation of state of the art cardiology care while continuing to put the patient first in both Centers.
