Mary Hotz Nesbit, MD, to Join Middle Georgia Medical Associates

Mary Hotz Nesbit, MD, will be joining Middle Georgia Medical Associates, the practice of  James Tippett, MD, effective Sept. 15. Appointments for new patients are now being accepted.

Dr. Nesbit comes to MGMA from Greenville Health System in South Carolina, where she recently completed her three-year residency in internal medicine. She specializes in adult wellness care, acute outpatient care, and management of chronic conditions.

Dr. Nesbit earned her bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Georgia. She went on to earn her doctor's degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in Savannah before entering her residency training at Greenville Health System.

Recently married, Dr. Nesbit says she is thrilled to return to her home state of Georgia. She is an avid sports enthusiast and played a number of intramural sports in college and medical school, including soccer, flag football, volleyball and basketball. She loves baking, hiking, and participating in endurance sports. In recent years, she has completed several half-marathons, a full marathon, three Half-Ironman triathlons (swimming, bicycling and running) and completed a full Ironman Distance Triathlon. She is excited to incorporate her love of exercise into her medical practice to help patients with weight loss and wellness.
