Houston Healthcare Welcomes New Chief Medical Officer

Mr. Charles Briscoe, Chief Operating Officer for Houston Healthcare, proudly announces the selection of Dr. Larry D. Stewart, MD as the Chief Medical Officer for Houston Healthcare beginning May 1st. Dr. Stewart is a graduate of the University of West Georgia and the Medical College of Georgia. He served his internship and residency at Eugene Talmadge Memorial Hospital in Augusta, Georgia and the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He is a member and Fellow of the American Board of Pediatrics and is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Stewart is a well-known and highly respected physician who has practiced as a Pediatrician for 31 years in Middle Georgia and is affiliated with both Houston Medical Center and Perry Hospital.

As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Stewart will act as a liaison to the Medical Staff, providing leadership with a focus on positive patient outcomes and the refinement of clinical service lines. He will continue to serve his patients and their families on a part-time basis.

Dr. Stewart and his wife Debbie have four children and reside in Perry. He is active in both church and community activities.
