Secure Health Names Mercer Grad New VP of Business Development

Secure Health, a Macon-based healthcare management company, announced that Steven M. Clement RHU, REBC, has accepted the position of Vice President of Business Development.
Al Ertel, president and CEO of Secure Health stated, “Secure Health is an integral part of the vibrant Macon community so we are very pleased and confident that the knowledge and skill Steven brings will enhance Secure Health’s team while building upon our legacy of service.”
Mr. Ertel further elaborated that, “Steven is the right person to join our Senior Management team, heading up the business development helm of Secure Health. Utilizing his extensive background in the health insurance industry, we anticipate that he will be able to engage the industry stakeholders such as employers, hospitals, and physicians in continuing to not only help improve the health and well-being within the local communities that we serve, but also ensure that healthcare is kept close to home.”
With over 26 years of experience in healthcare sales, operations, and leadership, his distinguished career includes having served as president of The Georgia Associations of Health Underwriters and as a Board of Director for a variety of regional/national health underwriter organizations. In addition, he served on former Governor Roy Barnes Executive Task Force that sought to address the needs of the uninsured in Georgia. Having graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1978, he went on to earn his BBA in finance from Mercer University in 1982. Mr. Clement has been a licensed life and health agent of good standing in both Georgia and Alabama for more than 26 years.
