Charles Jones is the latest appointment by the Macon-Bibb County Board of Commissioners to the governing Board of River Edge Behavioral Health Center, the keystone provider of mental health, addiction and developmental disability services and supports in the Central Georgia community.

Jones is the Chief Legal Officer and Director of Government Relations for Fort Valley State University.

Thad Childs was also recently named to the River Edge board, his appointment made by the Jones County Board of Commissioners. He currently serves as the Jones County Market President of Morris Bank, having had an extensive career in the banking industry.

Of the appointments, Shannon Gordon, Chief Executive Officer of River Edge said, “These esteemed gentlemen bring skills and experience to River Edge to help us remain a strong and growing provider of help and hope for persons with mental health, addiction or developmental disabilities in Central Georgia for many years to come.”
