Thursday, March 2nd, 2017
After a year and a half, the Centerville Police Department has filled an important position with a familiar face. Officer Charles "Chuck" Hadden, U.S Marine Corp and Georgia Army National Guard veteran was appointed Police Chief of the Centerville Police Department on February 21st.
Captain Hadden has been with the Centerville Police Department for over ten years, even serving as a temporary Chief of Police before taking on the permanent position. City officials are very pleased with the hard work Captain Hadden has put in during his ten years of service and interim position. Mayor John Harley spoke with 13 WMAZ, saying that "this time they know they have their guy" and he hopes to create a more personal connection between the police department and their citizens.
