Stewart Vernon, Founder and CEO of America’s Swimming Pool Company, presents as a guest speaker on the topic of entrepreneurial success, as a part of a semester-long course titled “Fiddler on the Run: Music Entrepreneurship” at the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings Institute located within Mercer University’s Townsend School of Music. Through the duration of this course, students will gain real-world insight on becoming a successful musician-entrepreneur in the world of classical music.

Amy Schwartz Moretti, Director of the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings, commented on her excitement of this first-time course offering at Mercer University. The Robert McDuffie Center for Strings is a highly selective program. This program provides business-oriented curriculum that prepares the entrepreneurial musician with conservatory-quality music training and high-quality education for success in the real world.

“I am honored to have been chosen as a guest speaker for these talented, young artists and entrepreneurs,” said Vernon. “These students need to learn the business skills that can help them flourish in the music industry. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and expertise as a successful entrepreneur.”
