Planters First Bank is Expanding Commercial Banking Presence in Macon

Planters First Bank, announced that David Wilson and Rene Connor have joined PFB’s Macon team. Wilson will serve as Regional President and Connor as Administrative Assistant. Wilson and Connor, who were most recently with Regions Bank in Macon, will lead PFB’s commercial banking presence in Macon. They join Joy Story and Janell Daley, who lead PFB’s retail and private banking efforts in Macon.
A Macon native, Wilson graduated from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia after attending First Presbyterian Day School. Wilson is actively involved in the community, currently serving on the board of directors of the March of Dimes. He has held leadership roles in several local organizations, including the Make a Wish Foundation of Central Georgia, Cox Capital Theatre and Bragg Jam. He is a member of the Macon Civic Club and is an active member of Vineville United Methodist Church. Wilson is married to the former Alexis Powell of Macon. They have three children, Brynna who is a freshman at the University of Georgia, Josh who is a freshman at Georgia College and State University, and Law who is an eighth grader at First Presbyterian Day School.
Connor is a Macon banking veteran with 40 years of banking experience. She is an active member of Ingleside Baptist Church, where she volunteers in the childcare ministry. She is a committee member of the Trojan Legion at Tattnall Square Academy, and is a past president of the Four Seasons Garden Club. She is married to Michael W. Connor, owner of Connor Fasteners, and they have one daughter, Hayley.
