Staff Report From Middle Georgia CEO
Tuesday, January 24th, 2017
Lynn Murphey has joined the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation as program director for Macon. She’ll step into the role formally on January 30.
Lynn has long served as a distinguished leader for Macon and the region. For more than 20 years, Lynn has been a senior leader for Cox Communications in the region, most recently as vice president and market leader with responsibility for operations in Middle Georgia. Before Cox, she served in leadership roles for the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce, and she has devoted significant time and effort over the years to a range of vital Macon organizations and institutions.
Lynn has also been a trusted partner to Knight Foundation, having served on Knight’s Macon Community Advisory Committee. She is a terrific successor to Beverly Blake, who provided many years of leadership in Macon and at Knight Foundation. We look forward to the new paths and opportunities she will forge in collaboration with you and others.
