Staff Report From Middle Georgia CEO

Tuesday, December 6th, 2016

Macon-Bibb County and Stantec Consulting Services, Inc. will present the conceptual designs for improvements to Forest Hill Road from Forsyth to Wimbish Roads. The meeting will be held on December 8, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at St. Frances Episcopal Church (432 Forest Hill Road). The meeting will be informal, and the public is invited to attend anytime during these hours.

The intent of the project is to improve mobility and safety for all users and modes of transportation, and people attending the meeting will be able to learn more about the conceptual design, ask questions, and make suggestions on other improvements that could be made.

The conceptual design currently includes signal upgrades at Forsyth Road and Ridge Avenue, a proposed signal at Charter Boulevard, a continuous sidewalk on the west side of Forest Hill Road, and a continuous multi-use path on the east side of Forest Hill Road. Additionally, two alternates will be presented for the intersection at Wimbish Road: one for signal upgrades and one for a roundabout.

The meeting site is accessible to persons with disabilities. For anyone unable to attend the meeting, written statements and questions will be accepted until January 6, 2017 and may be submitted to:
