Middle Georgia State University will break ground on a $5 million STEM academic building on the Warner Robins Campus at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 30. The short ceremony/reception is free and open to the public.
 
The state-funded building, to be connected to Oak Hall on the south end of the Warner Robins Campus, will allow Middle Georgia State to add much-needed labs, technology based classrooms and a lecture hall for bachelor's degree programs related to STEM - science, technology, engineering and math. MGA's goal is to hold the first classes in the 13,250-square-foot building during spring semester 2018.
 
Building architect is Lyman Davidson Dooly. The program manager is Parramore & Quinn, while Piedmont Construction will handle construction management.
 
In addition to Dr. Christopher Blake, MGA president, and other University officials, Warner Robins and Houston County civic, business and military representatives are expected to attend. The reception will take place in the Oak Hall lobby after the groundbreaking ceremony.
