Martha Bowman Memorial United Methodist Church to Host 2nd Annual Food Truck Fest November 6th
Staff Report From Middle Georgia CEO
Friday, November 4th, 2016
Martha Bowman Memorial United Methodist Church (Martha Bowman) will host the 2nd Annual “Food Truck Fest @ MB” on Sunday, November 6 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. This is a family friendly event with ten food trucks offering lunch and dinner options including Tex’s Tacos, Nana G’s Chick-n-Waffles, King of Pops, and Francar’s Wings, to name a few. Attendees are invited to attend a community worship service beforehand on the topic of “Hungry for…” kicking off a new sermon series “Hungry.” In addition to visiting the food trucks, families can check out the inflatables, face painting booth, arts and crafts for kids, and so much more (all FREE)! Since we know so many in our community are hungry, Martha Bowman is partnering with Macon Outreach to help stock their food pantry. Bring a canned food item to the Food Truck Fest @ MB and receive a FREE pickle, dessert, or cup of boiled peanuts.
The event will be held in the parking lot of Martha Bowman (500 Bass Rd, Macon, GA 31210), but parking will be provided at Howard Community Club, St. Andrews Presbyterian Church (after 1:30 PM), and Howard High School (where there will be a shuttle service provided). Handicapped parking is available onsite.
