Middle Georgia State University’s Office of Graduate Studies will host a drop-in information session and mixer for prospective students interested in its new master’s degrees.
 
MGA is accepting applications for its currently operating online Master of Science in Nursing and the Master of Science in Information Technology, as well as the proposed Master of Science in Management and the Master of Arts in Teaching, both pending approval by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. There will also be information for the fully online Graduate Certificate in Technical Writing and Digital Communication, currently under development and pending approval by SACSCOC.
 
The event will take place at Gallery West on Thursday, November 10, 2016, from 5-7 p.m., at 447 Third Street in downtown Macon. The gallery features an extensive collection of photographs of legendary rock and blues musicians taken by Kirk West, who worked with the Allman Brothers Band for many years and was a contract photographer for the Chicago Sun-Times and the Chicago Tribune.
 
Graduate faculty and members of the dean’s office will be on hand to meet with students and to talk about the future of graduate education at the university.
