GDOL’s Dublin Career Center Earns Customer Service Award

tate Labor Commissioner Mark Butler presents the Georgia Department of Labor’s Career Center Customer Service Award to Joanne Kirkley, manager of the Dublin Career Center. The award recognizes outstanding customer service among all GDOL career centers in the eastern half of the state.

The award was presented at the GDOL’s statewide meeting of its Unemployment Insurance, Regional Operations and Business Services Unit divisions held last week in Warner Robins.

During the past year, the Dublin Career Center has experienced a large growth of new and expanding industries in their community. Its staff provided hands-on recruitment activities for area employers by screening job orders, contacting job seekers directly and working within their community resources to tap into the available labor pool in order to fill hard-to-fill positions.

Also, the center’s collaboration with local workforce partners and the GDOL’s Business Services Unit has made it more successful in providing area employers with quality applicants.
