Veteran Banker Joy Story joins Planters First Bank as Market President

Planters First Bank, announced that Joy Story has been named Market President for Macon. Story, who most recently served as the Senior Vice President of Private Banking for Community and Southern Bank in Macon, has joined PFB to lead the Bank’s expansion efforts in Macon.

Story began her banking career in 1969 with SunTrust Bank, where she gained experience in all facets of retail and commercial banking. Story attended Middle Georgia College and she is a graduate of the American Institute of Banking. Story is actively involved with the Macon Cherry Blossom Festival, she is a Life Member of the Macon Chamber of Commerce, she is a member of the Macon Exchange Club, where she served as the first and only female President in their history, and she is a member of Ingleside Baptist Church.

Commenting on the announcement, Heath Fountain, President and CEO of PFB, stated “During her career, Joy has developed significant banking relationships in Middle Georgia. Joy’s leadership experience, coupled with her banking expertise and her proven ability to deliver results make her the perfect person to lead our expansion in Macon.”
Story’s office will be located at 4361 Rivoli Drive. In addition to retail and business banking, this location will also house the Bank’s residential mortgage lending team.
