Located in the Atlanta Metropolitan area in Lithonia, GA, Luther Rice College & Seminary is a private Christian college focused on providing a fresh and engaging approach to biblical education. They were looking for a web design company that would deliver a professional and unique website for their staff, students and prospective students. Luther Rice College & Seminary deemed Third Wave Digital qualified and equipped to take on such a large project. Third Wave did not disappoint in developing a website that accurately depicted the college’s mission and their flexible course offerings.

The newly redesigned http://www.lutherrice.edu/ boasts a responsive design, campus calendar, student profiles, and a news and press plugin. All these features are backed by Third Wave’s higher education Content Management System, TWD.CMS, and the site is securely hosted by TWD Host.

Third Wave began with structuring the blueprint of the site for the optimal user experience. Working closely with the staff at Luther Rice, Third Wave was able to create a more streamlined navigation experience.  Unnecessary pages were removed and content was migrated to the newly designed website.

The homepage of the newly designed website is multi-paneled with a long-scroll design and many multiple interactive elements. The highly-equipped homepage ensures that the first-time user receives the most valuable information about the school during their first visit. Almost every element on the homepage can be customized with administration access from banner photos to drop down menu content.

Third Wave not only designed a responsive website that is easy to consume by its users, but the administrators of the website benefit from the TWD.CMS Content Management system. Admins can quickly and easily make text and media changes to the home or interior pages and add new events to the campus calendar. More advanced functions include the ability to add or rename pages, and add additional administrators and assign them to specific sections to the site. Administrations can also take advantage of the advanced metadata entry options included in all pages.

As a private Christian college and seminary, the staff wanted to ensure that when potential students entered their website they received valuable information about the course offerings and the University’s values, mission dedication to education. Working together, Third Wave was able to meet and exceed Luther Rice’s expectations.
