Staff Report From Middle Georgia CEO

Monday, August 15th, 2016

A business is opening in downtown Macon this fall which will bring an important service to Middle Georgia. Cleveland Training Center will be the first in the area to teach pet CPR certification classes. The first classes will be offered September 3.

Steven Cleveland is the founder and instructor of Cleveland Training Center. His passion for animals led him to become certified to teach pet CPR & first aid in 2012. His love for Macon led him to start his new business this year.

“With the revitalization that is going on, I want to offer that service to the public and to the community,” Cleveland said. “I want to be a staple for downtown.”

Cleveland Training Center will offer basic, introductory classes that cover how to save a dog or cat’s life from choking and other hazards. Classes will also cover basic pet care and animal behavior. At the end of the 90-minute class, participants will take home a workbook and a certificate of participation.

The classes will be held at The 567 Center for Renewal in downtown Macon. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held for Cleveland Training Center at The 567 Center on August 17 at 2:00 pm. All are invited to come meet Cleveland, enjoy light refreshments, and celebrate this new business.
