Macon Beer Company Announces Festie Besties Bottle Release Party, July 27th, 6-10 pm

Staff Report From Middle Georgia CEO

Friday, July 22nd, 2016

Macon Beer Company is a brewery that not only takes pride in its beer, but also takes pride in the city in which it was founded. This month Macon Beer will celebrate two great Macon festivals with beers inspired by them. Macon Movies--created for Macon Film Festival--and Macon Music--created for Bragg Jam—will be bottled for the first time, and the brewery is throwing a party for their release.

The Festie Besties Bottle Release Party will take place July 27, halfway between the back-to-back festivals. The party will include brewery tours and tastings of Macon Beer’s flagship, seasonal, and special reserve brews. Local bands Analog Existence and Hindsight will perform live in the beer garden, and food will be available for purchase. Each person at the party will take home one 22-oz. bottle of Macon Movies and one 22-oz. bottle of Macon Music.

Macon Movies and Macon Music were first released in 2015 and 2014, respectively. Macon Beer Company chose to honor Macon Film Festival and Bragg Jam with their own brews because of what they represent.

“Both of these festivals really highlight Macon’s revitalization,” said Macon Beer Company founder Jeremy Knowles. “There’s something to celebrate with the growing film and movie industry here. And Bragg Jam really celebrates our musical history here in Macon through live performance.”

Beer lovers should also be on the lookout for a new brew from Macon Beer in August.  Macon Dreams, a peach ale, will be released in honor of a famous Macon native: Otis Redding.

The Festie Besties Bottle Release Party kicks off at 6 pm. Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door, and may be purchased online at maconbeercompany.com or by calling 478-216-7117.
