With Five-day Blood Supply, Red Cross Pleads for Middle Georgia Donors

With families taking summer vacations and blood banks having only a five-day supply on hand in parts of the midstate, the American Red Cross has put out a call for donors to roll up a sleeve. “Typically during the summer months we do see our donations decline because people are busy with seasonal activities and vacations,” said Kristen Stancil, the agency’s external communications manager.
