The Young Professionals of Dublin Laurens – County had their kick-off meeting on Thursday, May 12, at the Dublin Carnegie Library. Over 60 young professionals met to network and learn about opportunities to serve the Dublin-Laurens County community. The guest speaker for the evening was Commissioner Sean Frantom from Augusta, Georgia. YPDLC was founded as a non-profit corporation earlier this year.

The mission of YPDLC is to enrich the Dublin-Laurens County area by fostering an environment of leadership development, community involvement, and career advancement for its members. A young professional is any individual ages 21-40 living or working in the Dublin-Laurens County area who is looking to grow in their careers through professional development, networking opportunities, and philanthropic outreach.

Upcoming events include a Wine Tasting Social Event to Benefit CASA at My Coffee Shop on June 23 at 6:30 PM and the July Membership Meeting on July 14 at noon at Moore Station Village with guest speaker Dr. Juliann Alligood, Superintendent of the Laurens County Schools.
