The Macon-Bibb Earth Day Committee is accepting nominations now for for its annual awards recognition program. Awards are giving to individuals, groups, or businesses working to go green in our community. From recycling to clean cars, to any way you’re helping to restore and preserve our natural resources – we want to hear about it!

You can nominate yourself, or someone else for an Earth Day Environmental Award. See the attached forms for details on how to do it, and to complete the questionnaire outlining green efforts. The awards are broken into the below categories. The full descriptions and the nomination form are attached to this announcement. The Earth Day Awards will be presented at a luncheon on April 20, 2016, at 12:00 p.m. at the Ocmulgee National Monument. The 2016 Earth Day Celebration will be held that day in Tattnall Square Park from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. and feature vendors, activities, and a market.
