The Georgia Department of Labor’s Milledgeville Career Center will host the Mobile Vet Center on Tuesday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Baldwin County.

The Mobile Vet Center is a 38-foot mobile counseling center for veterans. It is part of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs office in Macon.

The mobile counseling center will be in the parking lot at the career center located at 156 Roberson Mill Road in Milledgeville. The mobile center provides a wide range of counseling, outreach, and referral services to veterans and their families to help them make readjustments to civilian life.

The mobile center is staffed by Jerry D. Long, a readjustment counseling technician at the Macon VA Center. Services include individual, group, marital, family, and bereavement counseling. Also, Phil Williams, a representative of the Georgia Department of Veterans Services, will be on site to assist veterans applying for their benefits.
