Central Georgia Technical College will be holding Community Connect, an event to showcase the services of CGTC to the community of Peach and surrounding counties. Community Connect will be held Thursday, April 7 from 10-11:15 a.m. at the Peach County Workforce Development Center located at 425 James E. Khoury Drive, Fort Valley.
CGTC is targeting Peach County citizens, churches, and other organizations, as well as those from around the surrounding area, for this event. The aim is to inform the broader public of the opportunities available at the College. CGTC offers credit instruction, adult education and GED® programs, and economic development services.
CGTC recently began offering credit and adult education courses at the Peach County Workforce Development Center. Among some of the programs to be offered are commercial truck driving, industrial training programs, welding, and others. GED® classes are offered, as well as other adult education services.
“We want the citizens of Peach County to know that they have the ability to cultivate a skilled workforce locally through adult education classes and credit training made possible at CGTC,” said Sallie Devereo, assistant vice president for adult education.
Summer semester begins May 17. New students should enroll now and apply for financial aid. Registration begins April 4. Visit www.centralgatech.edu or call 478-988-6800 for more information.
