Kole Management Co., a Savannah-based apartment management & investment firm, recently acquired Legacy at River Crossing, a 200-unit apartment community in the affluent North Macon neighborhood of Arkwright.

It joins Falls at Spring Creek, an adjacent 296-unit apartment community which KMC acquired last year. Both are across the street from The Shoppes at River Crossing, the area’s foremost open-air retail, dining and entertainment center.

Legacy, built in 1987, offers a broad mix of large 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom units with black appliances, faux granite countertops and washer/dryer connections. The 50-acre property includes a pool with waterfall and outdoor grilling station and a fitness center and sauna. Kole Management plans a number of improvements, including remodeling the Office/Clubhouse and installing a new playground.

“Legacy at River Crossing is a great acquisition for Kole Management,” said President Jeff Kole. “It’s a well maintained property in one of the best submarkets in Macon and is contiguous to Falls at Spring Creek, which will enable us to serve residents better.”

KMC owns and operates 13 apartment communities, including nine in the Savannah area, two in Macon and one each in Charleston and Augusta.
