Mark Sison, M.D. is an Interventional Physiatrist with particular interests in orthopaedic spine and sports medicine. He specializes in acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders, electrodiagnostic studies, and interventional spinal injections. Dr. Sison received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the De La Salle Health Sciences Institute in Cavite, Philippines. He practiced as a physical therapist for several years in Illinois specializing in out-patient orthopaedics for work related injuries. Dr. Sison returned to the Philippines completing the degree of Doctor of Medicine at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila graduating with honors then returned to the United States for a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation residency at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in Newark, New Jersey. Following residency, Dr. Sison accepted a fellowship appointment in Interventional Spine & Sports Medicine from Sinai Hospital of Baltimore in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Sison is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, a Diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and a member of the Spine Intervention Society. His professional interests include teaching and treating non-operative conditions of the spine. Dr. Sison enjoys spending time with family, scuba diving, mountain climbing, and singing.
