GA DOE: Macon Charter Academy will not Close

The Georgia Department of Education will not be closing Macon Charter Academy.
In an email sent to MCA Board Member Joseph Brothers, Louis Erste from the state DOE said Bibb Schools Superintendent Dr. Curtis Jones told a DOE committee he’s in favor of MCA’s new plan. Brothers explained the plan is to work with a management company named Prestige to make the school’s business and governance processes more effective.
