Todd Lang, MD, MBA Joins Coliseum Health System as Chief Medical Officer

Coliseum Health System is pleased to welcome Todd Lang, MD, MBA as Chief Medical Officer for Coliseum Health System.  Dr. Lang will be responsible for quality and patient safety, medical education, strategic vision and physician executive leadership for Coliseum Medical Centers and Coliseum Northside Hospital.   He will focus on stabilizing and improving processes of care and operations.
 
Dr. Lang spent his clinical career as an emergency physician.   He most recently served as Medical Director of Emergency Services at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN and led the Baptist Memorial Healthcare System Sepsis Improvement effort.  Prior to this, he served as Medical Director for the Rural Healthcare Quality Network and Medical & Trauma Director at Lourdes Hospital in Pasco, WA.  
 
Dr. Lang completed his undergraduate studies at Linfield College in McMinnville, OR, and medical school at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD.  He completed family medicine residency at Altoona Hospital in Altoona, PA.  In 2012, Dr. Lang earned a Physician Executive Master of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN.  He is a committed student of lean management.  Dr. Lang is moving to Macon with his wife, their eight year old, and five year old twins.
