Peach Hospital Honored for Rural Care

The Medical Center of Peach County, Navicent Health has been recognized by the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health for its continuing commitment to provide patients in rural Georgia communities access to excellent healthcare services.
 
“With more than two million Georgians living in underserved areas of our state, The Medical Center of Peach County’s passion and dedication to meet the needs of such citizens serves as a shining example to those in the healthcare community,” said Clyde L. Reese III, Commissioner of Georgia Department of Community Health.
 
MCPC is recognized for its commitment to serving the people of rural Georgia, its dedication to the delivery of quality patient-centered care and its contributions to community health. The hospital is one of 20 rural Georgia hospitals recognized by NOSORH for “Excellence in Outcomes.” The recognition was based on patient safety indicators, readmission rates and mortality rates. Putnam General Hospital, a Navicent Health partner, was also included in the listing of top 20 hospitals.
