A select number of allied health courses will commence in the new facility, marking the culmination of planning and construction of the more than 70,000 square foot facility on Cohen Walker Drive.
The building, named in honor of staunch community and state leader, Roy H. “Sonny” Watson, will offer courses in Nursing, Medical Assisting, Surgical Technology, Emergency Medical Technician training, and others. In the near future, the College expects to open Physical Therapy Assisting and Registered Nursing programs to support the burgeoning local healthcare industry.

Once equipment is in place, Radiologic Technology, Hemodialysis and other health science programs will move into the new facility from the main campus. The Watson Health Sciences building was constructed on land donated by Houston Healthcare, a long-standing partner with the College in bolstering a qualified workforce high-demand healthcare careers.
