Fairview Park Hospital ER Opening Today

Fairview Park Hospital will celebrate the opening of its newly-renovated and expanded Emergency Room on Thursday, October 15, 2015. Over the last five years ER visits at Fairview Park have grown by more than 35% (from 28,000 visits annually to more than 38,000). Construction, which began in July 2014, is now complete and the new ER features:
 
22 ER patient rooms – an increase of 10
Dedicated pediatric patient rooms
A new 64-slice CT scanner
New digital portable X-ray and ultrasound machine
 
“Our ultimate goal in the ER is to deliver the best care possible as quickly as possible,” says Don Avery, Chief Executive Officer. “By adding new equipment and additional patient treatment rooms, our patients will experience even shorter waits and we will be able to get them home that much sooner.”
