Wednesday, October 21st, 2015

In an effort to have a healthier workforce, the Macon-Bibb County Human Resources Department is hosting a Wellness Fair as part of its annual health insurance enrollment process October 21-23 and 26-28 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the Macon City Auditorium, main floor. On October 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Heisman Trophy will be on display.

“Instead of just signing people up for their insurance, we want to provide our employees with the ability to lead healthier lives all year long,” says Human Resources Director Ben Hubbard. “We are committed to helping people take their health and well-being seriously by forming healthy habits, increasing their awareness of health and wellness matters, and becoming inspired and empowered to make better choices relative to their health.

During the Wellness Fair, employees will be able to visit health information booths, and register for various drawings from participating vendors to win a 32” Color Television, $100 gift cards, gas cards, grocery cards, fitness kits, and more. They will also be able to get free flu shots, hear from health experts, sample healthy foods, get free mini massages, and learn about Macon-Bibb’s Wellness Program and how to get involved.
