Community Shreds and Recycles Over 12 Tons of Sensitive Documents at RFCU Event
Staff Report From Middle Georgia CEO
Tuesday, October 27th, 2015
Central Georgia residents recently shredded 25,250 pounds, or 12.6 tons, of documents containing sensitive material at Robins Federal Credit Union’s popular Shred Day events.
Four Shred Day events were held at Robins Federal Credit Union’s Log Cabin Drive branch in Macon, West Clinton Street branch in Gray, North Houston Road in Warner Robins and Perry Parkway branch in Perry.
Shred Day is a semiannual event with a dual purpose – to protect the Middle Georgia community from identity theft and to protect the environment. Members of the community are invited to shred personal information, including financial records, receipts and prescriptions. All shredded documents are then recycled.
