Birch Expands Sales Engineering Organization, Unveils New Sales Technology and Enablement Team

Birch Communications, Inc., a leading nationwide provider of communications, network and cloud services to small, mid-sized, enterprise and wholesale businesses announced today the launch of a new Sales Technology and Enablement Team within the company's Sales Engineering organization.
"The ST&E team is designed to help empower our sales teams and channel partners by supplying them with the reliable guidance and technical information they need to assist customers in making sound technology decisions," said Christopher Ramsey, Senior Vice President and Chief Sales Officer, Birch.
The company also announced that Steve Sigmon has been promoted to Director of Sales Engineering, reporting directly to Paul Masters, Vice President of Partner Sales and Solutions. In his new role, Sigmon will be leading, managing and training the Sales Engineering Organization, which consists of the ST&E team and field, design, and sales engineering teams.
"Creation of the ST&E team is a huge opportunity for our team to deliver continuous learning and development that is centered on our products and services to equip our sales channels for success," said Sigmon. "Our channel partners will benefit from a host of new courses and materials that will help them best navigate selling Birch's advanced solutions, such as TotalCloud PBX, Metro-Fiber, TotalCloud Data Center, TotalCloud File Storage, Metro Ethernet, and MPLS."
"This critical team's objective is to increase the availability of educational resources for our channel partners through the delivery of a comprehensive, best-in-class training curriculum," said Masters. "Our partner enablement strategy is working well and building on the channels' expertise and skill will accelerate our partners' success selling Birch's entire suite of products and services."
The ST&E team will support the continuing development of all Birch sales channels to ensure consistent product knowledge and sales approaches across all channels. Partners can engage Birch's channel managers to request product solutions, sales scenario training, product training, prerecorded and live product demonstrations and general consultancy. The company's objective is to offer progressive curriculum for Birch's complete product portfolio and to tailor this curriculum for e-learning courses that offer dynamic content to Birch partners in regularly scheduled classes to begin in the coming weeks.
