Goodwill Job Fair, Boot Camps Provide Employment Opportunities

The Job Connection of Goodwill industries of the CSRA will hold a Job Fair from 1-4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, at the Snelling Center, 3165 Washington Road at Fury’s Ferry Road, Augusta. The job fair is free to job-seekers and to employers with current openings.

This job fair will bring together employers and applicants while highlighting the programs available through the Job Connection. More than two dozen employers, including ADP, Allgood Pest Solutions, Augusta National Golf Club, Augusta Warrior Project, The Augusta Chronicle, Biomat USA, Bridgestone Americas, Busby-Stephen Beckett Heat and Air, C.A.O.T.T.I., Chick-fil-A Augusta Exchange, Columbia County Board of Education, Dumpster Depot, FPL Food, Georgia Regents University and Health Systems, Grifols Biomat USA, The Home Depot, Medac, Richmond County schools, Rural Sourcing, Sage Valley Golf Club, Salvation Army, Teleperformance USA, T-Mobile, Urban Outfitters, U.S. Army Recruiting, Goodwill Industries and Helms College will be on site to provide information about current job openings in the Augusta area.

To help job-seekers make their best first impression, Goodwill’s Job Connection adjacent to the Snelling Center will hold a Job Fair Boot Camp on Tuesday, Sept. 15. Sessions will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon and from 2-4 p.m., taught by human resources professionals from businesses represented at the Career Expo. Job-seekers attending the boot camp will receive early entry to the job fair.
